Multifocal PCIOLs

Have rings of different optical power that bring near and far objects into focus simultaneously. The brain automatically zeroes in on the image that you are trying to see. This type of lens was among the first to be approved by the FDA. The Advanced Medical Optics ReZoom lens and the Alcon ReSTOR lens are examples of multifocal lenses (Figures).
